Great News for AALS & Its Members!!

I received the following message this morning from Jennifer King, NALS Meetings and Marketing Representative. The results of the 2011 NALS Jett Awards have been returned to the Resource Center. Your program, ‘AALS Can Do It!,’ is a great program and others could learn from it. There were several entries this year, and, AALS (Arkansas) is the winner of the cornerstone award this year. AALS will be recognized in Tulsa with an award and your program will be displayed. Keep up the good work! Thank you to Janet Gordon, PP, PLS, for gathering the required material and submitting the application

Via Danny Looney: As your ways and means chair, I would like to take this opportunity to remind all members to save your aluminum cans. If you have not been saving them – get started – it costs you nothing!!! AALS Past President Janice Miller came up with the AALS Cans program during her year as president, and I can tell you from experience, this takes no work at all. Here in White County, I simply notify the members, I pick the cans up every month or so, they get taken to a recycler, and the recycler gives us money
